Two Full-time and one Part-time (26hrs) Floating Support Workers within our Floating Support Service, Lighthouse 4, Newport. You will predominantly work office hours although flexibility is required to meet the needs of our customers. You will also need to hold a full driver's license and have access to a car.
About the role
This is a Floating Support Worker role based in Newport. You will provide housing-related support to individuals aged 18 and over who are either struggling to maintain their tenancy or are at risk of homelessness.
As a Floating Support Worker you will support individuals in homelessness prevention where you will work closely with the Housing Support Grant Team to act quickly in preventing evictions or to find alternative accommodation. You will also provide generic support to individuals who have housing support needs and require 6-12 months support to overcome challenges and regain stability in their tenancy.
Skills and Experience Needed

- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
- A curiosity and determination to understand people's support needs, identify the right solutions, and provide accurate advice and guidance.
