PPC Manager
Ink Digital
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE)
Location: Brentwood, Essex (Elizabeth Line)
Pattern: Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
The Mission: Own the execution. Manage the team. Drive the growth.
About Ink Digital
Ink Digital is an independent, high-growth agency built on being practical and commercial. We don't do "fluff" or vanity metrics; we do work that moves the needle. As we scale, we are looking for a heavy-hitting PPC Manager to work alongside our Head of Paid Search to lead the department’s output and operational standards.
This isn't a "maintenance" role. You will be responsible for the performance of key accounts, the management of 4 Digital Executives, and the commercial growth of the PPC department.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Operational Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and Direct: You will be the operational lead for 4 Digital Marketing Executives. You are responsible for their output, ensuring every account meets the "Ink Standard" for quality and pacing.
- Workflow Oversight: Assign tasks, oversee account health, and act as the first point of escalation for technical issues.
- Quality Control: Implement and run rigorous QA processes to ensure zero-error execution across all client builds.
2. High-Level Performance Execution
- Advanced Strategy: Lead the strategy for complex Search and Performance Max campaigns, moving beyond basic ROAS to Profit-on-Ad-Spend (POAS) and LTV-led bidding.
- Omnichannel Synergy: Work directly with the SEO team to ensure a "Total Search" approach - identifying where PPC can plug gaps in organic visibility and vice versa.
- Data & Attribution: Own the transition to a cookieless world. You’ll implement First-Party Data strategies, Enhanced Conversions, and CRM integrations (HubSpot) to ensure our bidding AI is fed the best possible data.
3. Commercial & Departmental Growth
- New Business & Pitches: Support the Head of Paid Search in audits and pitches. You should be able to look at a prospect's account, find the "leaks," and present a clear roadmap for growth.
- Process Building: Help create the internal playbooks, testing frameworks, and reporting templates that allow the department to scale efficiently.
- Creative Input: Direct the creative requirements for Demand Gen and PMax, ensuring the assets we use are backed by performance data.
About You
- The Experience: 3+ years in a high-paced agency environment. You know how to handle the pressure of multiple deadlines and varying budgets.
- The Manager: You are ready (or already experienced) to manage people. You can delegate effectively and hold others accountable for their work quality.
- The Technician: You have a deep understanding of Google Ads, GA4, and the technical side of tracking. You don't just "set and forget"; you hunt for marginal gains.
- The Communicator: You can sit in front of a client and explain complex performance data in a way that makes sense to their bottom line.
Technical Skills
Must-Have
- Expert-level Google Ads (Search, PMax, Shopping).
- Proficiency in GA4 and Server-Side tracking concepts.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong commercial awareness (understanding client margins and business goals).
Nice-to-Have
- CRM Knowledge: Experience linking HubSpot or Salesforce data to ad platforms.
- Feed Management: Experience with Merchant Center or tools like Channable/Feedonomics.
- Paid Social: Strategic knowledge of Meta and LinkedIn to support omnichannel growth.
Benefits
- Flexible working hours (8:30am–5:00pm or 9:00am–5:30pm).
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Birthday off.
- Rapid progression as the department expands.
- Profit sharing and Christmas closure.
- Mental health support (Headspace & Business Therapy).
