The Department of Clinical Biochemistry at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary has a vacancy for a Clinical Scientist, Band 7.

Our modern, progressive and well equipped laboratory is fully computerised and offers a comprehensive diagnostic service to the Grampian Region. The department includes a multidisciplinary satellite laboratory at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin. In addition the main department at ARI provides tertiary services to NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland, a joint population of approximately 550,000.

ARI is one of the teaching hospitals in Scotland and the department has close links to both of the city’s universities; the University of Aberdeen, and the Robert Gordon University.

The Department currently holds full UKAS accreditation status and is registered by both HCPC and IBMS as a training laboratory. Participation in CPD activities and progression to attaining higher qualifications is encouraged.
