Job Title: Activity Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise activities and social events for service users within and outside the home
  • Develop and maintain engaging activity programmes tailored to individual needs
  • Encourage participation in activities that support emotional, physical, and social wellbeing
  • Consult with service users and representatives regarding preferred hobbies and interests
  • Support group and one-to-one activities including games, crafts, and exercise programmes
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and contribute to care plan updates
  • Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives, staff, and professionals
  • Ensure activities align with the home’s philosophy of care and residents’ rights
  • Report incidents, complaints, hazards, or changes in residents’ wellbeing appropriately
  • Support compliance with health and safety, COSHH, and safeguarding procedures
  • Participate in training, meetings, and service development activities

Requirements

  • Experience working as an Activity Coordinator within the independent sector
  • QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop engaging activities suited to individual needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and resident wellbeing
  • Willingness to undertake required training and development
  • Child Adult Enhanced DBS clearance
