Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 2 years Are you looking for an exciting new challenge where you can grow your career? Then we have the perfect role for you! Join us as an ASC Finance Apprentice, where you can achieve a Level 2 finance assistant apprenticeship qualification paid for by us, whilst also gaining on the job experience. Upon successful completion of Level 2 within 1 year, there will also be opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship for a further year. We are the service that supports people who are unable to look after their own money and complete financial assessments for people who are in receipt of care from Adult Social Care. We work closely with Adult Social Care and help people with any questions and queries that they may have. We help people to understand what benefits they may be entitled to, make sure that all people who we look after money for have all their household bills paid and that they also have some spending money. We complete financial assessment to find out if someone needs to contribute towards care received and then raise the invoice to the person. You'll be provided with all the support and training to ensure you have a clear career pathway to achieve your full potential. Whilst the role can be challenging, it can be equally rewarding too, when you've helped someone. The role is on a two-year contract working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with our flexible working scheme, including 20% off the job training which will help you achieve your qualification which will be a Level 2 Finance Assistant course. What you'll be doing: As an ASC Finance Apprentice you'll have a sheer variety of tasks to be getting involved with. Day to day work will involve you dealing with incoming post, investigating and responding to enquiries with reference to financial assessments or assessed contributions, you will be providing information and advice to them either in writing or over the telephone. You will also be involved with applications for the council to manage someones money, paying bills on behalf of people and making sure they have access to spending money. What you'll need: You'll have a keen interest in working for Leicester City Council and be committed and enthusiastic to learning whilst undertaking your Level 2 Finance Assistant Apprenticeship course. You'll be willing to learn about finance administration and what it means to work supporting people receiving care from Adult Social Care. You will be a good communicator. You'll demonstrate you are confident in using IT applications.
