About the Role
Working closely with the management team, you'll help oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy café, deli and retail food hall.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be leading by example, supporting the team through busy trading periods and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the management team with daily operations
- Leading, motivating and developing team members
- Delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Driving sales through product knowledge and customer engagement
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and compliance
- Supporting stock control, merchandising and operational performance
- Assisting with training and coaching team members
- Handling challenges confidently and professionally
- Contributing ideas to help improve and grow the business
What We're Looking For
You'll be energetic, organised and passionate about both people and food, with the confidence to lead from the front.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong hospitality and customer service background
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and support others
- Passion for quality food, drink and local produce
- Comfortable using IT systems and digital platforms
- Flexibility to work weekends and support peak trading periods
Desirable Experience
- Experience across both hospitality and retail environments
- Restaurant floor management or maître d' experience
- Barista skills
- Kitchen experience or willingness to learn
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification

Hours & Contract
- Permanent position
- Minimum 30 hours per week over 5 days
- Includes at least one weekend day
- Additional hours available during holidays and peak trading periods
- Daytime trading hours supporting work-life balance
