This is an exciting opportunity for committed clinicians to join our dedicated team within NHS Fife working in old age psychiatry Inpatient Mental Health Team covering West and East Fife. These are full time posts (10 sessions) with close working relationships with the OA community MH team.

You must be able to work in a collaborative way with other professionals and agencies. This post is full time however consideration will be given to the candidates to work flexible.

The post holder will be supported by a cohesive and collegiate group of clinicians, and will participate in CPD and peer supervision. Consultant peer groups meet regularly and there are regular educational events organised as part of our in-house programme.

We are always striving to improve our service and we seek an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed individual to lead and manage change. An area of particular focus over the next couple of years will be the development of the non medical workforce given the medical staffing challenges across the United Kingdom. A keen interest in supporting multi-disciplinary team colleagues’ professional development would be invaluable.

Our ambition is to have right person doing the right things at the right time, allowing us to provide a high quality service to the Older People of Fife.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training to Non-UK Applicants must demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills and experience required for practising as an eligible specialist in the UK.
