• Part-Time Freelance Quantity Surveyor RequiredKraken Surveying LimitedDue to continued growth, Kraken Surveying is looking to engage an experienced Part-Time Freelance Quantity Surveyor on a self-employed, contractor-to-contractor basis.This role is ideally suited to an established freelance QS, consultant or industry professional looking to supplement their existing workload with flexible, ongoing work.Responsibilities
• Preparation and submission of Applications for Payment
• Valuation and agreement of variations and compensation events
• Cost reporting and CVRs
• Final account preparation and negotiation
• Subcontract administration
• Contractual correspondence under NEC and JCT forms of contract
• General commercial support across multiple projectsRequirements
• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Office SuiteEngagement Details
• Part-time, flexible workload (typically 1–3 days per week)
• Self-employed / Limited Company basis only
• Contractor-to-contractor arrangement
• Remote working with occasional site visits if required
