Health Industry Placement Coordinator

Permanent contract, 15 hours per week (.4 contract Wednesday and Thursday), 36 weeks per year (Term Time Only)

Purpose of the job - To provide high quality coordination of learners working in industry placement. The role will have a particular focus on supporting young people on an T level Industry placement and Level 3 and 2 Health provision, acting as the key point of contact during the placement for the learner and employer. The role will help ensure relationships with key employers are maintained and their feedback is used to further improve the placement experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the placement journey for learners on an industry placement, ensuring compliance, quality, and a meaningful learning experience.
- Conduct placement visits to support the preparation, assessment and evaluation of the placement in line with college and awarding body expectations.
- Complete placement reviews as per the expected framework and timescales outlined by the college and awarding organisation.
- Provide high quality feedback to learners as per the expectations outlined by the college and awarding organisation.
- Liaise effectively with placement providers ensuring that appropriate measures are in place to support learners prior to and during their placement.
- Respond to attendance, welfare and other issues or concerns that the learner and/or placement provider might experience during the placement period, acting as the key point of contact for both.
- Ensure that the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected in the qualification are mapped for the placement and the placement provider is aware of what needs to be covered and enabled for the young person.
- To develop high quality resources that can be used by the student and employer to meet the expectations of the placement and its assessment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in related discipline
- Full UK Driving Licence
