Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Project Engineer to join our Kent-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a basic understanding of building services or electrical engineering who is keen to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will be enrolled on a HNC , fully funded by Primech Building Services, alongside gaining hands-on project experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the delivery of building services projects
  • Support with project planning, documentation, and technical drawings
  • Assist with procurement of materials and coordination with suppliers
  • Attend site meetings and assist with site coordination activities
  • Support quality control, health & safety compliance, and commissioning activities
  • Help track project progress, costs, and variations
  • Carry out basic engineering calculations and technical support tasks
  • Develop knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems

Requirements

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Basic electrical knowledge or exposure to building services
  • A keen interest in engineering and construction
  • Willingness to study towards a HNC
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Desirable:

  • GCSEs / A-Levels / BTEC or equivalent in a relevant technical subject
  • Some site or office experience within construction or engineering
  • Basic understanding of M&E systems
