Moughton Engineering are looking to recruit the following –

Manual Machinists – Miller, Turner or Dual Skilled (Part-Time Considered)

Applicants should have relevant experience and be reliable, motivated, and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to helping drive the business forward. The successful candidate will be capable of producing high-quality machined components in line with the company’s exacting standards.

Key responsibilities and requirements include:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Dynamic and capable of meeting challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Competent in all aspects of tool setting, including a sound understanding of cutting speeds and feeds.
• Strong experience using measurement and inspection equipment, including verniers, bore gauges, and micrometres.
• Ability to carry out deburring of machined components during production cycles while ensuring minimal disruption to output.

We operate in a fast-paced working environment, so this position requires a candidate who is both efficient and methodical in their approach.

The position offers a basic 38-hour working week, with an early finish on Fridays, overtime opportunities, 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday leave, a wellbeing day, Christmas Eve off, a contributory pension scheme, life insurance, and occupational health screening.
