The Role
The role of the Programme Lead is to be an ambassador for the college and to take the strategic lead for your designated curriculum area. As an integral member of the college’s wider team, you will be responsible for the operational management of your curriculum areas, the line-management of staff and will teach an appropriate caseload within the Business curriculum area.
This post may require some evening and weekend working to support College events including interview evenings and parents’ evenings.
Main Duties for this role include
- Deliver teaching and learning to an Outstanding standard to ensure learners achieve high success rates.
- Assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
- Comply with all College quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
- Use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
- Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.
- Have available an up-to-date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross-cutting themes) for each course/class taught.
