We provide an outsourced HR service to a wide range of businesses and charities at a cost that makes sense for SMEs. We become a company’s outsourced HR Department. We provide support to businesses across Somerset and beyond.
As an HR Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive HR administrative support to clients, including maintaining and updating HRIS systems, preparing and processing probationary review paperwork, and managing contractual change documentation.
- Managing incoming calls, offering basic advice where possible or taking accurate messages for the team.
- Uploading advice, documentation, and reports to our CRM system.
- Managing onboarding and HR systems setup.
- Liaising with third-party providers such as occupational health, DBS checks, and Breathe HR.
- Taking and typing up notes from client meetings.
- Personalising contracts of employment and assisting with the creation and updating of employee handbooks.
- Managing and updating our social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and contributing to our marketing plans.
- Preparing commercial client administration, including new client agreements, renewals, and insurance forms.
- Checking monthly insurance schedules to ensure all client details are accurate.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
We’re looking for someone who:
- Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
- Has a desire to work in an HR environment at assistant or administrator level.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and telephone).
- Can build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
- Is a proactive self-starter who works well under pressure.
- Is resourceful, results-driven, and enjoys problem-solving.
- Has a positive, resilient attitude and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
- Has experience using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Copilot, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Training
During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as project management, systems & processes, business structures and so much more.
You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships HR Support Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021. They also boast the highest Ofsted rating, which only a select few training providers in the region have.
The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded business professional. These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.
