EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant

WorkwithSchools is recruiting an enthusiastic and caring EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a welcoming primary school, North of York, with an immediate start available.

This role is Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, with additional lunchtime supervision and breakfast club hours available from 07:30.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning and development through positive interaction and effective questioning.
  • Promote pupils' personal, social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Encourage inclusive, positive play and good behaviour.
  • Implement appropriate behaviour management and learning strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification approved by the Department for Education (DfE), or meet the relevant eligibility criteria through an apprenticeship, student pathway or experience-based route.
  • Experience working with children in an Early Years or primary school setting.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Passionate about supporting children to learn, develop and thrive.
