Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (Office Based)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm | Friday 9:00am – 2:00pm
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Bonus: Quarterly bonus eligibility after 6 months
Progression: Salary and role progression reviewed at 12–18 months

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our business in a hands-on, varied position. You will support the wider sales team in driving new business, identifying market opportunities, and nurturing strong client relationships. This is an office-based role in Daventry, Northamptonshire, and we ask that applicants are within a reasonable commuting distance.
We are looking for someone who brings more than just skills to the table. The right candidate will be consistent and reliable, someone the team can depend on day in, day out and will approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset, always looking for practical, considered solutions.
This role offers genuine long-term career development. After a successful first 12–18 months there is the potential for salary increases and role progression. You will also become eligible for a quarterly performance bonus after 6 months in post.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and outreach
• Support the delivery of the company’s growth plans and commercial objectives
• Research and identify new markets, sectors, and opportunities for business expansion
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads, assessing their suitability and potential value to the business
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a reliable and trusted point of contact
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pipeline activity, client interactions, and prospect data
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business development activity aligns with wider company goals
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity
• Report on business development activity and contribute to regular team reviews
What We’re Looking For

Essential skills and attributes

• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM or similar tools
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
• Previous experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role
• Familiarity with lead generation techniques or CRM platforms
• Previous experience within manufacturing or PTFE industry
