Warehouse & Dispatch Operative

Location: Barnstaple, Devon

Hours: We are hiring one Full Time at 37.5 hours per week and one Part Time 20 hours per week.

Salary: Full Time £26,500 per annum (£13.45 per hour), Part Time £13.45 per hour (Real Living Wage)

Associated Optical is a successful and growing UK distributor supplying specialist eyewear, low

vision products and sunglasses to optical practices, NHS organisations, charities and consumers

throughout the UK.

Following our recent relocation to Barnstaple and continued business growth, we are looking for a

Warehouse & Dispatch Operative to join our warehouse and distribution team.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly, established business where your

contribution will play an important role in ensuring customers receive their orders accurately and on

time.

The Role

Working within our busy warehouse operation, you will be responsible for picking, packing and

dispatching orders across our portfolio of brands, including Kukuna adventure eyewear,

Eschenbach eyewear and magnification products, and Cocoons fitover sunglasses.

Key responsibilities include

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Preparing shipments using courier systems such as DPD and FedEx.

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries.

• Assisting with stock control and stock counts.

• Ensuring products are packaged to a high standard.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Supporting the wider operations team as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and takes pride in doing a job well.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, dispatch or fulfilment role.

• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems.

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Strong organisational skills and a good work ethic.

Full training will be provided.
