We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented
Senior Information Analyst (Band 5) to join the nationally commissioned
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and Complex Cancer Late Effects Rehabilitation Service (CCLERS) at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a key role supporting specialist clinical services through high‑quality data, analytics, reporting and digital solutions that directly inform patient care, service delivery, national reporting and commissioning.
About The Role
As Senior Information Analyst, you will play a central role in:
- Delivering accurate, timely and high‑quality analysis and reporting of complex clinical and patient‑reported outcome data
- Supporting the development, maintenance and improvement of specialist clinical databases
- Contributing to the transformation of Complex Pain Outcomes data into a Secure Data Environment
- Acting as a liaison between clinical teams, patient representatives, database and IT colleagues to support digital innovation
You will work closely with clinicians, patients, service leads and information specialists, supporting national services that influence care and outcomes across England.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Collate, validate, analyse and present complex clinical and patient‑reported data
- Maintain and develop specialist pain databases, ensuring GDPR and information governance compliance
- Produce reports for service leads, national commissioning, service evaluation and audit
- Support development and testing of digital tools, forms and data capture systems (including InHealthcare, EPR and Office 365 platforms)
- Liaise with clinicians and patient representatives to improve system usability and data quality
- Provide training and user support to staff (1:1 and group, in person and remote)
- Assist with data sharing agreements, patient communications, education events and service reporting

Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Team player with demonstrable good verbal and written communication skills and the confidence and ability to liaise & negotiate work outputs and timescales with different members of staff.
- Experience of managing large datasets and using statistics to analyse and present data in different formats eg tables and graph. In depth knowledge & experience of relational databases and Excel, including using queries for retrieval of information, and general principles to ensure accurate recording of large data sets.
- Experience of project management
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching IT/database information to other staff.
- Design of relational multi stranded databases, writing of queries, design of user-friendly data input forms / questionnaires.
- Experience of education event management
Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- Good standard of education, knowledge of data warehousing in a range areas, as shown by a degree or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving License
