Junior Compliance Officer (Maternity Cover)

The Junior Compliance Officer supports the effective operation of DeterTech’s compliance framework across all territories. The role is responsible for assisting with accreditation management, audit preparation, licensing control, customer complaints handling, and day-to-day compliance administration.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. This is a developmental role well suited to someone looking to build a career in compliance, auditing, or quality management.

Key Responsibilities

Accreditation and Audit Support

  • Support preparation, coordination, and submission of evidence for external audits, including SIA ACS, SSAIB, PSA, BS 50518, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and Achilles UVDB.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance during major audits (e.g., SIA ACS, BS 50518, NSI Gold).
  • Complete desktop audits by preparing and submitting evidence to accreditation bodies such as Achilles Gold, Constructionline, CHAS, SMAS, JOSCAR, SafeContractor, Avetta, CQMS, LSC, EcoVadis, and ROSPA.
  • Assist with internal audits across all territories, ensuring actions are captured and followed up.
  • Maintain accreditation portals, ensuring all information, documentation, and certifications remain accurate and up to date.

Licensing Compliance

  • Support control and monitoring of SIA licences, ensuring all staff hold valid and compliant licences.
  • Monitor and maintain PSA licence compliance for Ireland, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Check PSA site survey forms and maintain PSA SSAIB Certificates of Conformity for newly installed sites in Ireland.

Compliance Administration and Reporting

  • Support the coordination and delivery of staff compliance inductions.
  • Maintain and update customer complaints and queries, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
  • Produce monthly complaint reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Record and distribute minutes for compliance meetings, ensuring actions are tracked and completed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Previous experience in compliance, quality administration, auditing, or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with auditors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with online portals and document management systems.
  • A methodical, responsible, and customer-focused mindset.

Key Measures of Success

  • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of audit evidence.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of accreditations across all schemes and bodies.
  • Accuracy of SIA and PSA licence records and reduction in non-compliance risks.
  • Quality and timeliness of monthly complaint reports and complaint resolution tracking.
  • Effective administration of compliance meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Positive feedback from internal auditors, external auditors, and operational stakeholders.
