Purpose of the Role

The purpose of our Key Account Manager is to build and nurture, long-term sustainable relationships with Alpine Fire’s key accounts, acting as a strategic partner to drive mutual growth, increase retention, and maximize the customers lifetime value, by understanding their needs and coordinating internal resources to deliver our tailored solutions. The focus will be on strategic growth, ensuring customers recognise the value of Alpine and remain loyal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high level of customer service at all levels.
  • Develop Account specific strategies and plans that align with their growth
  • Be knowledgeable about the products and services offered by Alpine in addition to our competitors.
  • Proactively seek ways of introducing additional revenue streams.
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Negotiate with customers using agreed methods to develop profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  • Ensure that the company’s CRM is updated and maintained daily and to ensure accuracy of information and inputs such as key contact information, dates and notes/follow up tasks.
  • Retain key account contracts and extend contract lengths.
  • Be aware of market trends, associations and forums involving our Industry and target sectors.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business.
  • To be an ambassador within the business for Alpine’s company values and competencies

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Maintaining customer relationships.
  • Recording customer requirements regarding new products and services.
  • Overall responsibility for key account sales.
  • Cooperation and coordination with our Service, Rapids and Projects teams.
  • Present new products and services to our Key Accounts.
  • Industry knowledge and market analysis.
  • Development of key account sales strategies.
  • Report on account specific growth and any areas for improvement/innovation.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Key Account Manager role – Essential
  • Fire suppression Industry experience – Desirable
  • Formal sales Training and development - Desirable
