Location: Wooburn Green, High Wycombe OR Letchworth Garden City
Hybrid: 2 days per week working in the office, 3 days per week working from home (some flexibility will be required to attend the office more than 2 times per week on the odd occasion, plus travelling between our two office bases).

About The Role
We’re looking for a talented and motivated
Communications Officer to help shape how residents experience and engage with SettleParadigm. As a key member of our Communications team, you’ll take ownership of high‑profile resident communication channels and play a central role in ensuring residents feel informed, listened to and connected to the services that matter most to them.
A major focus of the role will be leading the delivery and ongoing development of our monthly resident newsletter; creating accessible, engaging content that brings important updates, services and stories to life. You’ll also support the development of our new resident‑facing website, helping to improve digital journeys and make information easier to find and understand.
This is a varied, fast‑paced role where you’ll manage your own workload, lead communication initiatives from planning to delivery, and use insight, analytics and best practice to continuously improve how we communicate with residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high‑quality resident communications that inform, support and engage
- Own key communication channels including the monthly resident newsletter and digital content
- Use insight and analytics to shape targeted communications and improve engagement
- Support risk and reputational communications on sensitive or complex issues
- Contribute to the resident website ensuring content is accessible and user‑friendly
- Develop multi‑channel communication plans for service improvements and organisational initiatives
- Translate complex information into clear, plain‑English content
- Lead resident‑facing communications including service updates, consultations and performance information
- Produce key publications including the Annual Report to Residents
- Act as a trusted communications advisor to colleagues across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
You’re a confident communicator with excellent writing skills, strong digital capability and a passion for creating content that makes a difference. You’re organised, curious and able to manage multiple priorities while keeping residents at the heart of everything you do.
Must Haves
- At least three years’ experience in a communications or PR role
- Experience using digital platforms, including websites and intranets
- Experience delivering multi‑channel communications and campaigns
- Proven ability to manage complex communications projects from planning to evaluation
- Experience using insight, analytics and engagement data to shape communications
- Experience supporting sensitive or high‑profile communications
- Ability to produce digital and visual content (e.g., Canva, InDesign, Photoshop/Lightroom)
- Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information with integrity
- Strong relationship‑building skills across all levels
- Communications, journalism or marketing degree, or equivalent experience
Nice to haves
- Understanding of the housing sector and regulatory requirements
- Membership of IPR/IoIC/CIPR or equivalent
