Legal Counsel

Your Responsibilities - Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, R&D, license, supply and distribution agreements, procurement and public tender documents
- Support the management of legal risks, providing timely, pragmatic and commercially relevant legal advice directly to the business
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure LRC is involved in all appropriate matters in a timely manner
- Assist with healthcare industry code compliance, regulatory obligations and adherence to applicable legislation
- Conduct legal research, prepare briefing notes and advise on emerging legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business
- Provide corporate governance support to legal entities within the region
- Contribute to legal training and awareness programs
- Collaborate with Olympus’s European Headquarters on regional legal projects and processes
Your qualification - LL.B. or equivalent law degree.
- 2–5 years’ PQE, either in-house, in private practice as a solicitor, or with equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or life sciences industries, with an understanding of sales and marketing practices and medical affairs priorities, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial contract law and corporate matters.
- High levels of integrity and professional judgement, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Strong work ethic and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage a high workload and take on significant responsibility.
- Proactive, with a willingness to use initiative.
- Ability to work independently.
- Service-oriented and a strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-specialist audiences.
- Some travel may be required to visit subsidiary companies.
