Our Vision for the D&A team is to unlock the full potential of our data - driving smarter decisions, empowering our people and creating lasting impact for our customers.
Working within a cross-functional environment, you’ll leverage modern cloud and data platforms to deliver impactful, scalable AI solutions that support clinicians, practice teams, and patients across a rapidly growing business.
At Bupa Dental Care, we are committed to delivering high-quality dental services powered by innovation, data, and technology. As part of our growing Data & Analytics capability, you will play a key role in embedding AI and data science into how we improve patient care, support clinical decision-making, and optimise practice operations.
You will work closely with teams across clinical, central operations, product, and technology, contributing to BDC’s ambition to use data and AI responsibly, ethically, and at scale.

- Contribute to end-to-end AI project delivery, including problem definition, business case development, feature engineering, model development, deployment, and monitoring
- Apply data science to real-world healthcare challenges, including forecasting patient demand and optimising service capacity, building models to predict clinical risks and outcomes, analysing and improving practice performance, and leveraging geospatial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Apply AI techniques to diverse data sources, including structured data (practice systems), unstructured data (clinical notes), and emerging data types (e.g. imaging where applicable)
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure solutions are relevant, interpretable, and deliver tangible value
- Support MLOps and model lifecycle management, including monitoring model performance, data drift, and continuous improvement
Skills And Experience
- Experience applying data science in healthcare, dental, insurance, or regulated environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data-related risks and propose practical solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, GCP and Snowflake)
- Proven ability to deliver end-to-end data science or AI solutions, from exploration through to deployment
- Understanding of machine learning workflows, MLOps, and scalable model deployment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including clinicians and operational teams
- Experience working in cross-functional and agile teams
Desirable
- Experience working with clinical or dental data
- Exposure to predictive modelling, optimisation, or forecasting in healthcare settings
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines) or similar tools
- Experience with unstructured data (e.g. clinical notes, imaging)
- Interest in ethical and responsible AI in healthcare
