Purpose of the Role

To ensure the centre, especially the service areas and back of house, is maintained in such a way that all rubbish is removed regularly and cleaned daily. To ensure that any food or liquid spillages are attended to and cleaned, as soon as possible. To maintain the floor and entrances to a good standard. To dipose of rubbish in the correct manner and help us to meet our recycling goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refuse collection from waste bins

  • Removal of all food and liquid spillages

  • Segregating waste and disposing in the correct bins

  • Jet washing entrances and service areas

  • Maintaining Back of House areas such as corridors and staircases

  • Any other reasonable duties

  • Be aware of site specific duties.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Experience in the provision of cleaning services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
  • Able to demonstrate a good level of customer service.
  • Basic Knowledge of H&S legislation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
  • Honest and reliable work ethic.
  • Well presented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work in both/internal and external environments.
  • Willingness to partake in further on-site training.

Desirable

  • Flexible working approach to work patterns.
  • Body fluids trained.

Working Hours - Avg of 40 per week. Five shifts on, three shifts. Shift Times between 0500 & 1900 hrs

Salary - £13.02 per hour
