About The Role
Provide Environmental and Sustainability leadership and day-to-day coordination for Painter Brothers’ (PB) sustainability reporting, compliance, and improvement activity.
The role will, manage, and continuously improve the systems, reporting processes, supply-chain engagement, and action plans needed to meet Balfour Beatty, client,
and internal ES requirements across PB’s manufacturing and subcontract supply chain.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and coordinate all E&S and sustainability reporting for Balfour Beatty, clients, and internal PB leadership.
- Act as the central point for E&S data collation, validation and submission.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, and delivered to required standards and deadlines.
- Develop PB’s approach to embodied and operational carbon.
- Oversee collection and management of key environmental data across materials, fabrication, processing, logistics, and waste.
- Develop and maintain tools, templates, methodologies, and assumptions for carbon reporting.
- Continuously improve data quality, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Develop E&S reporting requirements across supplier categories (materials, services, logistics, fabrication, coatings).
- Lead supplier engagement on E&S performance and expectations.
- Support supplier onboarding and assessment (e.g. ISO 14001, BES 6001, EPDs, carbon data, modern slavery controls)
Who we're looking for
- UK Driving Licence
- Relevant Degree or Experience in sustainability within manufacturing or construction sectors.
- Experience of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability within the Manufacturing industry preferred but not essential.
- Professional Membership preferred e.g. PISEP
- Working and practical knowledge of ISO 14001
