Savings Product Analyst

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)

As a Savings Analyst In this role you will play an integral part in ensuring the Society’s savings product ranges meet the needs of our customers and deliver good customer outcomes, whilst also delivering key business objectives within risk appetites.

What the role will look like

  • Tracking and analysing competitor activity to ensure market positions are achieved/maintained as per business needs.
  • Monitoring and analysing performance of existing savings products to identify opportunities to change pricing and/or introduce new products and propositions to support delivery of the Society’s savings targets.
  • Presenting your proposals to committees attended by senior leaders and executives and take minutes of these committees as required.
  • Identifying and managing associated risks and ensuring products are compliant with regulation and internal frameworks throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ownership of savings product procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
  • Supporting the Senior Product Manager to deliver the Savings Plan and new savings propositions.
  • Becoming a savings product expert, sharing knowledge and providing support and guidance to colleagues across the business.
  • Delivering good customer outcomes by putting the customer at the heart of everything you do.

What you will bring to the role

  • A basic understanding of savings products, and what customers need from these.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to extract and interpret data to inform decision making.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to tailor your style to be appropriate for difference audiences.
  • Good working knowledge/practical skills of Microsoft Office software, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A passion to help customers become financially resilient by building their savings.

Desirable but not essential

  • Previous experience working in savings in the UK market.
  • Graduate-level (or equivalent) education in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, marketing, or data/business analytics.
  • Familiarity with Power Bi.
