Veterinary Receptionist

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and love working with animals and their owners? We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming team at Guildford Vets for Pets.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy practice.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting clients and their pets with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
• Managing telephone enquiries, emails, and appointment bookings
• Processing payments and pet insurance claims
• Banking and daily cash reconciliation
• Managing outstanding debt and payment queries
• Supporting the clinical team to ensure the practice runs efficiently
• Handling sensitive, emotional, or challenging situations with compassion and confidence

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in a veterinary reception role (preferred but not essential)
• Customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident using IT systems and administrative software
• Passionate about animal welfare and providing exceptional client care
