Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and love working with animals and their owners? We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming team at Guildford Vets for Pets.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy practice.
About the Role
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting clients and their pets with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
- Managing telephone enquiries, emails, and appointment bookings
- Processing payments and pet insurance claims
- Banking and daily cash reconciliation
- Managing outstanding debt and payment queries
- Supporting the clinical team to ensure the practice runs efficiently
- Handling sensitive, emotional, or challenging situations with compassion and confidence
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a veterinary reception role (preferred but not essential)
- Customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using IT systems and administrative software
- Passionate about animal welfare and providing exceptional client care
