As an HNC colleague, you will have the rare opportunity to shape a better future through supportively challenging staff and students to become their best selves. We work collaboratively to ensure that staff love working at the College and students love learning. As One HNC we embrace difference, celebrate diversity and understand the complexities and challenges of the modern world. We strive to embody our ASPIRE values and are committed to making our vision and mission a daily lived reality. If you share our belief that education, enrichment and enlightenment are the keys to empowering young people to shape a better future, then we would welcome your application for this important role.

As the School Liaison and Communications Officer you will work with prospective applicants and their parents/carers via our excellent relationships with schools to help them to understand what HNC has to offer and how they will be educated, enriched and enlightened if they choose to take their post-16 journey at HNC. As part of this you will deliver impactful assemblies, careers events and mock interviews, and provide genuine insight into our College offer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, engaging and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about the power of education and keen to develop understanding in our local community and beyond about what makes our College so special. As part of a small but dynamic team you’ll also be involved in a wide range of activity including content creation, Open Events and communications that support applicants on their journey to HNC. Applicants should ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.

If you are inspired by our vision, if you are passionate about making a positive difference through self-disciplined hard work, if you are authentically aligned with our ASPIRE values, if you are humble and honestly self-reflective, HNC may well be the perfect match for you.

We are committed to equal opportunities and safeguarding young people, as such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate will be required for all posts. All shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. The successful candidate will also be subject to additional relevant background and safeguarding checks.
