The City of Doncaster Council has embarked upon an ambitious programme of change, development and regeneration across the City of Doncaster and we are commied to working with the community and local organisations to address this.

The Regenerative Neighbourhood Manager will strategically lead and manage a team to address deep rooted issues, developing and delivering positive solutions and outcomes for the community of Edlington, local businesses and visitors.

As part of our overall regenerative neighbourhoods approach we are looking for a Regenerative Neighbourhood Manager to:

  • Develop positive relationships with organisations, groups and individuals
  • Build on engagement and developmental activities
  • Work using a strength-based community led support model
  • Work closely with local anchor organisations
  • Co-ordinate and integrate existing plans, strategies and approaches
  • Support interventions and activities in the community at a local level
  • Apply the learning from the work which has already taken place in the area, identify new learning which can be shared
  • Experienced in applying a strong neighbourhood management approach e.g. co-ordinating delivery via weekly tasking groups
  • Engagement with residents – not just by formal engagement methods, but speaking to people informally too and using methods that gather in all forms of intelligence and information
  • Taking a pragmatic approach, dealing with the issues causing most concern

You will be given the freedom and autonomy to drive forward change, providing oversight, direction and support across the service area, in lune with the new partnership Thrive model. Part of the role will also include introducing quality of life changes that bring improvement to communities, who have suffered with a cycle of deprivation and poverty.

This post will act as the deputy to the Locality Manager when required and support the Thrive leadership team in the development, delivery and implantation of Directorate priorities in line with corporate plans, strategies and policies.
