Job overview

We are recruiting a compassionate and skilled Assistant Practitioner to join our wonderful Children's Eating Disorder Service at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich.

You will work under the supervision of registered professionals to provide high-quality care and interventions, supporting young people in their assessment and treatment.

You will be part of a diverse and active MDT, supporting young people and their families through recovery. There is a strong emphasis on systemic work within this specialism, so skills in working with families as well as the young person is key.

Main duties of the job

Deliver direct care and support to service users, under supervision of registered clinicians.

Carry out delegated clinical tasks including care planning and interventions.

Maintain accurate records using Trust systems such as Lorenzo.

Promote recovery-focused care and social inclusion.

Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners

Attending and leading multi-disciplinary meetings.

Lead and be involved in change projects to continuously improve the service.

  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care/mental health or apprenticeship in H&SC/mental health L5

  • Satisfactory verbal and written English language skills

Knowledge
