About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a friendly and enthusiastic nursery assistant to provide support for children in our nursery working with children aged 1 to 3.

You will be expected to work closely with key carers to provide a stimulating curriculum appropriate to the individual child’s needs. A friendly and flexible manner is therefore essential.

You will need to be committed to an inclusive approach and ideally have previous experience of working with young children. You would ideally hold a level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification.

Nursery Assistant

Salary range: Grade 2 / 3 - £24,413 - £25,185 pro rata (depending on experience)

35 hours a weekhours covering 8am to 6pm pattern

Monday to Friday All year round

What You Need to Succeed

Person Specification Nursery Assistant

  • Ideally have a relevant Childcare Qualification.
  • Have some experience in working with children aged 0 – 4 years.
  • Have a commitment to an inclusive/holistic approach to early years provision.
  • Be well organised and able to use their initiative.
  • Be a good communicator
  • Be able to demonstrate good team working skills working as an integral part of a team.
  • To have good organisational skills
  • To have a commitment to working flexible hours.
  • Be interested in undertaking further training and joining in staff development opportunities
