Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team in the Cardiology Department, GUH. The Advanced Cardiology Arrhythmia Nurse Practitioner will be a skilled, autonomous practitioner, who has a highly developed practice and knowledge within cardiology and arrhythmia management.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the cardiologists and cardiac physiologists, establishing integral care pathways for patients requiring complex devices and arrhythmia management. The post holder will provide leadership for the nurse-led Cardioversion service. The role will also help support the ward-base cardiology ANP/NP team in GUH, working alongside the junior medical and nursing teams, in the management of patients admitted with acute cardiac presentation. This is with the aim of forging closer working relationships with admissions areas, to improve clinical pathways for patients admitted under cardiology at GUH. There will be a requirement for weekend working attached to this role, to support Cardiology’s vision for 7 day working.
