Are you a dedicated and passionate Social Worker looking for an exciting opportunity within the Adult Social Care Service at West Berkshire Council? We are seeking a skilled professional to work alongside the Locality Manager, reporting directly to them, to provide high-quality social work services to our community.

About The Role

As a Social Worker within the Adult Social Care Service, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering person-centred social care assessments and interventions to adults with diverse needs.
  • Working collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of vulnerable adults through effective risk assessment and management.
  • Contributing to the Locality Manager's overall service delivery and performance management.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and information sharing to achieve positive outcomes for service users.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working in an adult social care setting, ideally within a local authority.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent assessment, intervention, and advocacy skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users and stakeholders.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage a diverse caseload.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
