What are we looking for?
We're seeking a skilled professional with Proven Marketing & Communications Experience Demonstrated senior or strategic-level experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies. A strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns across various channels (digital, PR, content) is highly desirable. Exceptional Communication & Storytelling Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail, grammar, and crafting compelling narratives. Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences. Digital Marketing Proficiency In-depth understanding and practical experience with digital marketing principles, including content marketing, social media management (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook), email marketing platforms, website content management (CMS), and basic SEO. Strategic & Analytical Mindset The ability to think strategically, define measurable objectives, and translate organisational goals into actionable communication plans. Capable of analyzing performance data to inform future strategies and demonstrate impact. Brand Management Expertise Experience in developing, enhancing, and maintaining brand identity and messaging consistency across all communication touchpoints. Proactive & Self-Motivated Leader A highly organised, self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision in a remote volunteer setting. Collaborative & Adaptive While independent, you'll be a team player, comfortable collaborating effectively with our leadership and other volunteers. Adaptability to the evolving needs of a new Community Interest Company is key. Passion for Social Impact A genuine passion for the non-profit and social enterprise sectors, coupled with a strong desire to contribute your skills to a meaningful cause and empower organisations for positive change. Time Commitment Ability to commit approximately 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility. You'll develop and execute our comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, with key responsibilities including Strategic Leadership Develop and implement strategies to raise our profile, expand our reach, and drive engagement within the non-profit sector. Content Creation & Management Lead the creation of compelling content across our website, blog, social media (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook), newsletters, email campaigns, and press releases. Brand Management Enhance and maintain our brand identity and messaging, ensuring consistency and clear communication of our values and impact. Digital Marketing & Engagement Drive our digital marketing efforts, optimizing our online presence to attract and engage our target audience through social media, email, and other channels. Public Relations Identify and pursue PR opportunities to secure media coverage, highlight our thought leadership, and showcase our success stories. Reporting & Analysis Monitor and evaluate marketing initiatives to inform future strategies. Team Leadership (Potential) Depending on availability, you may recruit and mentor a small team of communications volunteers.
