Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Technician based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What You Will Do

Following completion of a recognised apprenticeship and having gained extensive experience in this field, you will be part of a team reporting directly to the Mechanical Supervisor, responsible for the delivery of engineering services within a hospital environment and across community premises.

You should be able to demonstrate versatility and experience on a range of complex mechanical engineering maintenance work task schedules in addition to being an effective communicator.

You will also be required to take part in an on call rota and be able to work at other hospitals within Ayrshire to meet the demands of the service. Due to the requirement to participate in an on call rota it is desirable that the successful applicant should live no more than 30 minutes travelling time from the hospital.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

A City & Guilds Craft Certificate/Level 3 Certificate, or equivalent for the trade is essential. Experience in building services within a hospital environment including heating ventilation, air conditioning, decontamination would be an advantage.

Hours: 37 per week (8.00am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.00pm Friday)
