About The Role

If so, LiveWest has an exciting opportunity for you to lead our Planning team and help shape the future of our in-house maintenance service.

As a Team Leader – Planning (M&E), you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are scheduled efficiently and completed on time. You will lead a team of dedicated planners, driving performance, continuous improvement, and a culture of customer-first thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of planners to enhance team capability and performance.
  • Set clear targets and hold the team accountable for delivery.
  • Promote a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling of repairs and maintenance using resource planning tools.
  • Monitor and report on progress of repairs and planned works.
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve issues around work quality, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Operate within Health & Safety and organisational policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support the customer service centre and manage complaints effectively.

This role is being offered on a part time, permanent basis, working 22.2 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). This is an office-based role, based in our Exeter office.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Planning Team Leader, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 2 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Knowledge/experience in a customer repair role (social housing, retail or other).
  • Understanding of key performance indicators in area of work.
  • Ability to diagnose responsive repairs.
  • Experience in interpreting data and providing suitable outcomes, good data analysis and input skills.
  • Desirable: General understanding of responsive repairs or similar.
  • Desirable: Experience of using a scheduling tool to plan works.
  • Desirable: Experience of using resource scheduling software such as Xmbrace, OptiTime/DRS.
  • Desirable: Experience of using databases such as Capita/1st Touch.
