Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Band 3 Dietetic Support Worker to support a Nutritionist working alongside the Dietetic Prescribing Support Team in the delivery of a project looking at management of malnutrition within care-homes. The working hours are full time Mon Fri, fixed term for 18 months
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting with the delivery of this project within care homes looking at the replacement of oral nutritional supplements. The successful candidate will support with adopting and implementing this new approach as part of promoting a food-based approach in managing malnutrition.

Job Description Summary (Key Responsibilities)
The post holder will support with the delivery of elements of a project looking at the replacement of Oral Nutritional Supplements in Care-Homes. This will include supporting with engagement meetings, discussing the promotion of a food-based approach within Care-Homes including the use of home-made nutritional milkshakes and a nutrient-dense diet as part of this.
The post holder will work closely with our existing Dietetic Prescribing Support Team and also be involved in review of resources, implementation, review and evaluation of the project including data collection and further development and adaptation of the scheme where required and under the guidance of the Nutritionist, Prescribing Dietetic Team Lead and Primary Care Dietetic Manager.
Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (LNDS) has a friendly team of approximately 80 staff including dietitians, public health nutritionists, dietetic support workers and administrative support team staff covering the population of Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland.
