Senior Account Director – Building Services
Location: South UK (hampshire) (Flexible/Hybrid)
Salary: Base Salary - £70k-80k. OTE £90,000 - £100,000 + Package
Type: Permanent, Full-Time- Remote with 1 day in the office per week minimum.
Ferox Partners is working with a progressive and purpose-driven organisation in the building services sector that is committed to delivering outstanding quality, customer experience, and environmental impact. As part of their ambitious growth journey, they are now seeking a commercially astute and relationship-focused Senior Account Director to lead strategic client engagements and drive new business success.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker who thrives in a client-facing environment and has a deep understanding of building services and facilities management. You’ll manage a small portfolio of high-value clients, supporting the clients and consulting with them as well as play a part in winning new contracts of work and business, lead on contract negotiations, and play a key role in shaping and executing a growth strategy.
This position offers a blend of client relationship management, strategic sales, and operational oversight, ideal for someone with proven experience influencing at senior stakeholder level and driving measurable results in a competitive industry.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Lead a portfolio of our top spend client accounts with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and growth
- Engage with C-suite and senior decision makers to align service offerings with business needs
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead regular review meetings and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion
Retention & Growth
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across services
- Lead negotiations on renewals and contract expansions
- Bring in existing client relationships over time to support growth
- Create tailored account growth plans and lead commercial discussions
New Business Development
- Research and target new clients within agreed market sectors
- Generate and qualify leads via outreach, networking, and industry events
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to close
- Maintain CRM records to manage pipeline and performance metrics
Service Delivery Oversight
- Ensure all services are delivered to the highest standard and SLAs
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to resolve service issues
- Act as a senior escalation point for client concerns
Skills & Experience
- Proven success in a senior client-facing role within building services or facilities management
- You must have strong knowledge of PPM, lifecycle, project and reactive service delivery
- Deep understanding of industry challenges, trends, and best practices
- You must be Comfortable building new relationships and winning new business
- Commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and revenue growth
- Confident leading client relationships at board level
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to influence internal teams and clients
- Results-oriented with a consultative and strategic mindset
