Mather Fold House is looking to recruit a Activities Coordinator. to join the team. This is a part time 20 hours role.

Mather Fold House provides specialist support for adult with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Mental Health issues. The individuals may at times present with severely challenging behaviours


What you'll be doing


You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here
  • Liaise with external companies to organise entertainment
  • Listening to the residents though conversation and questionnaires to aid producing a popular program of events/activities/entertainment
  • Develop a rapport with local community churches, schools, gyms ect.
  • Applicant will need to pre plan and risk assess activities before they take place.

What you'll bring to the role

We are looking for someone who is either working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (for existing Priory employees) or willing to work towards this qualification (for external applicants). The successful candidate will be able to organise and prioritise their own workload within ward procedures and requirements, liaising with and referring issues to senior staff when necessary. The role offers some flexibility in how routine tasks are carried out, with a creative approach encouraged when facilitating sessions. We value individuals who contribute ideas to help develop and improve ward or hospital activities. Previous experience in a mental health, learning disability, or challenging behaviour setting is essential, along with the knowledge and skills developed through this work.
