Quarry Manager – Clee Hill Quarry £40,000 - £42,000 plus company van

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Quarry Manager to lead our Clee Hill quarry ensuring excellence in safety, environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, and team development.
To lead and inspire the site teams to deliver outstanding performance across all key areas—safety, environment, cost, quality, and service—while continuously driving improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety
- Champion a culture of safety-first, aligned with Heidelberg Materials’ Health & Safety Plan.
- Implement and evolve a continuous improvement plan to exceed safety target
Environmental Leadership
- Operate to the highest environmental standards in line with our Environmental Management Plan.
- Drive sustainability and compliance across all site activities.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full adherence to statutory legislation and company policies across all operations.
Operational Excellence
- Achieve optimal production levels at the lowest operational cost.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.
Distribution & Customer Service
- Collaborate with logistics to ensure high service levels and cost-effective delivery.
Quality Assurance
- Partner with technical teams to maintain top-tier product quality at efficient cost.
Business Analysis
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate, actionable data informs decision-making and drives profitability.
Leadership & Development:
- Resource Planning: Ensure the site is well-resourced and team members are trained, developed, and empowered.
- Team Direction: Set clear goals, provide strong leadership, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Control & Oversight: Maintain robust controls across safety, environment, capital expenditure, and operational spend.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in quarry or heavy industrial operations management
- Strong leadership and people development skills
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
- NVQ Level 4 in SHE quarry operations.
