We’re looking for a dedicated part-time Operations and Compliance Officer to join our team — or partner with us on a contract basis — to lead key operational functions including vehicle fleet management, health & safety, property maintenance, and policy development.
Whether you’re looking for a permanent employed role or are an experienced self-employed contractor, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing our vehicle fleet: leasing, insurance, servicing, fuel cards, and EV support.
- Leading on health and safety: chairing our H&S Committee, reviewing policies, and overseeing risk assessments and training.
- Coordinating property maintenance and statutory compliance (e.g. PAT testing, EPCs, legionella).
- Reviewing, updating, and communicating policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Supporting tendering processes, strategic business planning, and responding to operational queries.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in facilities management and health & safety.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
- Confident communicator with a flexible, problem-solving approach.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of working in a care or support charity, ideally supporting vulnerable people.
Flexible options – employed or contracted:
We’re open to:
- Hiring on a permanent part-time basis (we’ll shape the role to suit the right person).
- Receiving proposals from contractors offering these services via a consultancy or freelance arrangement.
If you’re applying as a contractor, please include:
- A brief proposal outlining your relevant experience
- Your availability
- An indicative fee structure
Why join or work with us?
