Priory Devonshire Road is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a Bank role.

Devonshire Road is located in Palmers Green in the London Borough of Enfield. It offers residential support for five adults who are autistic or have a learning disability. Devonshire Road is an Edwardian house located on a quiet side road a few minutes away from local shops, community centres and public transport
Our team are dedicated to providing a safe, person-centred environment for the people who live there. People are supported to be active members of their community and involved in the running of their home
Devonshire Road is also able to support those who have mental health needs and physical disabilities


What you'll be doing


You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  • Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
  • Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role


Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

The ideal candidate will have, or be working towards, an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or a related area, along with GCSEs or NVQ2 in English and Maths. New recruits without NVQ2 will be expected to begin working towards the qualification within six months of joining. Experience in a related environment is desirable.
