The opportunity has arisen to appoint a qualified Clinical Physiologist to join the Clinical Neurophysiology team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, in the role of Specialised Clinical Physiologist Band 6.
Tayside Clinical Neurophysiology is a busy department providing a comprehensive range of neurophysiological investigations and monitoring procedures, including routine, sleep deprived and portable EEG, home ambulatory monitoring, adult and paediatric video telemetry, nerve conduction studies, as well as a range of evoked potential studies.
The service caters for a wide range of patients including neonates, ITU, paediatrics and those with mental health problems. Excellent communication skills are required to manage the diversity of patients and the complexity of information.
The successful candidate would be expected to take a role in home ambulatory monitoring. This post will also share responsibility for the supervision of Trainee Clinical Physiologists and participate in teaching of medical and nursing students as well as supporting managerial roles. There will be an expectation to contribute to policy and procedure reviews and to the future development of Tayside Clinical Neurophysiology services.
Clinical Physiologists are actively encouraged to participate in CPD, audit and research. ANS membership and RCCP registration is expected.
The Successful Candidates Should Possess
ANS (or EPTA) Part One and Two or equivalent
BSc Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent. Have a level of experience in one or more specialised areas of Clinical Neurophysiology.
