Intertek is a global leader in Total Quality Assurance. We are currently seeking a Senior Stores Assistant to join our Business Support Services team in Aberdeen. This is a key operational role supporting logistics, inventory, and stores activities at our busy laboratory site. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly, enabling our teams to deliver high-quality testing and assurance services to clients in the energy sector and beyond.
ABOUT YOU
You’re organised, proactive, and bring hands-on experience from a warehouse or stores environment. Comfortable working independently or as part of a team, you’re someone who takes pride in maintaining efficient, safe, and well-run logistics processes.
You’ll have a flexible and practical approach to your work, with a “can do” attitude and a willingness to support colleagues across multiple teams. Attention to detail, a strong focus on customer service, and an understanding of safety and compliance are all essential.
Key requirements:
- Previous stores or warehouse experience
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Full driving licence
- Dangerous Goods Awareness (preferred)
- Forklift experience (advantageous)
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable with manual handling and physically active work
- Strong team player with a positive, hands-on approach
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting all stores operations for the Aberdeen site – from receiving and dispatching deliveries to maintaining stock records, supporting waste management and ensuring safe and compliant packaging for onshore and offshore shipments.
Key activities:
- Coordinate logistics for customer and internal deliveries
- Maintain and update “live” stock spreadsheets and batch records
- Support stock movement between Media Lab and Stores
- Assist with waste management and ensure effective use of disposal containers
- Package and label goods, including Dangerous Goods, in line with regulations
- Raise delivery notes and support purchase requisitions
- Monitor stock levels and assist with monthly stock counts
- Lead by example in promoting safety, teamwork, and customer service
