Medichecks launched the UKs first direct-to-consumer blood testing company in the UK and created a market where there was none. As well as the continued growth of our B2C business we now see considerable opportunity to grow in the B2B and B2B2C space through our technology platform, Plasma.

Purpose of this role
We are a rapidly growing healthcare technology company delivering innovative SaaS solutions to improve patient care, streamline clinical operations, and enhance data-driven decision-making. As we scale, we are seeking a commercially minded and technically strong Finance Lead to lead our finance function and support strategic growth.
The Finance Lead will lead the finance team in delivering timely and accurate financial information, driving performance analysis, and supporting the business through data-led insights. The role requires strong financial stewardship, experience in acquisitions and group accounting, and advanced analytical skills using Power BI and Excel.
Role and responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the monthly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting in line with accounting standards.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycles across all departments, including scenario modelling and variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports that deliver meaningful insights to senior leadership.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process, ensuring readiness and on time delivery.
- Work closely with department heads to track key metrics.
- Oversee group accounting activities, including consolidation of multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
- Support acquisition activity, including financial due diligence, post-acquisition integration, and group reporting alignment.
- Manage and develop a team of three finance professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualise key financial and operational performance indicators.
- Use advanced Excel tools (Power Query, pivot tables, VBA/macros, dynamic arrays) to streamline reporting and automate financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies, and maintain up-to-date documentation of finance processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across financial operations and reporting infrastructure.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as pricing reviews, contract modelling, cost center profitability.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent
- Proven experience in a Finance Lead or senior finance role within a SaaS or tech-driven business
- Demonstrated experience with acquisitions, group accounting, and financial consolidation
- Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency, including financial forecasting and data modelling, transformation, and visualisation
- Strong knowledge of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition standards
- Experienced people manager with the ability to lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team
- Commercially aware, analytical, and capable of influencing cross-functional teams with data-driven insights
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
- Proficiency in Sage 200 or similar financial ERP systems and management of the supplier relationship
Desirable
- Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and compliance (e.g., NHS frameworks, ISO 13485)
- Exposure to SQL, Power Automate, or system integration tools

Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
