Job Overview

Come and join our vibrant and growing department in Wrexham and Flintshire. You will be working with a team of dietitians, with good admin support. The wider department consists of almost fifty dietitians and dietetic assistants as well as our admin team. There are good working relationships between our teams and plenty of opportunities for professional development, both within the department and in collaboration with our colleagues across North Wales. Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include:

  • Making appointments for dietitians
  • Carrying out patient reviews over the phone and in person under the supervision of a dietitian
  • Stock management of feeds and supplements
  • Admin tasks to support the dietitians

There is a strong, interconnected Dietetic team across North Wales, who meet for away days regularly, and who are in constant contact, sharing information, resources and developments wherever possible. All necessary support and supervision will be provided to the successful candidate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and /or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 or equivalent

Desirable criteria

  • Degree in nutrition related subject

Experience And Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Relevant experience working within health, social or education settings
  • Basic knowledge of some conditions that could impact upon nutrition and hydration in adults, relevant to the role.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in clinical and/ or catering establishment

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Ability to work independently with individuals and/or groups
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Computer skills e.g. competent use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data inputting experience
