Job Purpose
Make a difference helping create a safe, welcoming home for young people. As a Houseparent, you’ll play a vital role in making sure their environment is clean, safe, and nurturing a true home from home.
Main Duties
- Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals (we hold the Healthy Living Award)
- Keep living areas, bedrooms, and shared spaces clean, tidy, and welcoming
- Support with laundry, stock control and hygiene standards
- Work as part of a team that puts the wellbeing of young people first
What we are looking for
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential (RLSS preferred).
- Previous experience working within the leisure industry is essential.
- Previous experience of working with young people is desirable.
- HNC in relevant subject, for example Sports Coaching, Health and Fitness is desirable.
- First Aid at Work Certificate and a Pool Plant Operators Certificate are desirable.
- Possession of a qualification to teach swimming is desirable.
Organisational/person specification
- Experience in cooking, cleaning, or housekeeping (in any setting home, hospitality, care, schools, etc.)
- A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to help
- Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Care experience is a bonus, but not essential
- A driving licence would be great, but not essential
