Purpose of the Position

This individual will be responsible for producing market insights and research analytics, developing industry and macroeconomic commentary and managing junior members of the team. This role involves managing all aspects of the market insights deliverables including proposing interesting and relevant ideas in conjunction with the marketing, investor relations, and investment teams; conducting independent research on the market, interviews with the investment team, and other external sources, and developing coherent and thought-provoking pieces in conjunction with the communications team.

Key Responsibilities

• Takes responsibility for research projects: owns the content and production of analytics, validates technical approach and interpretation of results of projects completed by team members
• Represents the team and acts as a point of contact for research related questions across the business
• Effectively presents and leads discussions of research issues with stakeholders
• Involvement in the development of the research agenda to support the needs of the wider business across investment strategy, fundraising, and product development
• Directs the content and production of research materials
• Takes responsibility for the training and development of junior team members

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Substantial experience in a market intelligence and/or macroeconomic research role.
• Knowledge of private markets
• Degree in quantitative subject and/or experience in quantitative research role
• Technical skillset including Excel and one or more: Power BI, Python, SQL
• Sound knowledge of statistics and/or econometrics

This role is a maternity cover - 12 mth FTC
