Role Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Advisor will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for our Business Services functions within the Firm. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to recruitment, ensuring that we attract candidates who align with our firm’s values and contribute to our continued success. The Talent Acquisition team is responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process for all new hire activity across the Firm. We aim to achieve a professional, positive and seamless candidate experience, from application through to the first day at the Firm.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role to cover a period of maternity of leave.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and sourcing candidates to interviewing and onboarding, for all Business Services vacancies;
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to determine and understand recruitment needs and develop effective recruitment strategies;
  • Ensure a compliant, inclusive and professional service is delivered to Charles Russell Speechlys to enable the fulfilment of strategic talent objectives;
  • Taking a pro-active approach to candidate sourcing, utilising various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals, to attract qualified candidates;
  • Working with the HRBP team on talent pipelining and market mapping initiatives;
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and selection;
  • Management of the Firm’s agency PSL – maintaining effective relationships with key recruitment agencies to ensure Charles Russell Speechlys requirements are understood, represented and delivered upon;
  • Providing a high-touch service for candidates throughout their recruitment process to ensure a market-leading and inclusive candidate experience which promotes the Firm’s core values;
  • Uses data to inform decision making – can accurately track progress (via ATS) and make best use of reporting tools to inform recruitment and attraction strategies;
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and implement improvements as necessary;
  • Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance the firm’s reputation as an employer of choice;
  • Supporting the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager on an ad-hoc basis on recruitment initiatives and projects;
  • Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles, and;
  • Forge meaningful and influential working relationships with the wider HR function, Business Services, Directors, Partners, managers and other key individuals in the Firm.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an agency or in-house recruiting role is essential, ideally in a legal environment;
  • An understanding of Business Services functions and their role within a law firm;
  • Demonstrates experience of using a variety of candidate sourcing / headhunting methods;
  • Experience of using an Applicant Tracking System;
  • Experience in implementing & advocating inclusive recruitment strategies across the business.
