Looking beyond profit, empowering our people and delivering on our commitments are at the core of our customer values, and so is a desire to grow and provide creative and innovative solutions to our clients Job Purpose: To assist in managing the Conduct Risk elements of the TMHCC International Compliance function, to ensure it meets company and regulatory expectations Key Responsibilities:
  • To help manage all matters and processes relating to Conduct Risk & Product Governance – this will include Risk Assessments, Fair Value Assessments, Outcome Reviews for new products and material changes
  • To manage and co-ordinate wording reviews, ensuring that they are suitable for the target markets
  • Dealing with internal and external stakeholders
    • To respond to 3rd party queries, including brokers, coverholders and in relation to Fair Value Assessments and other processes
    • To respond to business and product related queries comprehensively and in a timely manner
    • To collaborate with other departments (e.g. International Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit), ensuring that compliance issues identified are escalated for investigation and resolution as appropriate
  • To assist as required in the implementation of those Conduct-related objectives within the TMHCC International Compliance Plan.
  • Production of/input to Compliance Reports and provision of management information for reporting to various committees, as required
  • Leading on analysis and investigations – including root cause analysis based on trends / outliers identified from MI
  • Maintaining and updating all policies and processes that comprise the Product Governance & Distribution Framework
  • Deputising for the Senior Compliance Officer – Conduct Risk and Head of Conduct Risk as necessary. Coaching and mentoring members of the Conduct Risk team
  • To assist with the completion and submission of Lloyd’s and regulatory returns (e.g. complaints and RMARs, annual attestations, etc.) as necessary.
  • To work alongside the Senior Compliance Officer – Conduct Risk and HR to establish, co-ordinate and provide a multi-faceted educational and compliance training program on Conduct Risk, Product Governance and Complaints.
  • Provide co-ordination support for regulatory risk assessments and requests for information, thematic reviews, and internal audits.
  • Leading on Monitoring reviews and investigations
  • To monitor consultation papers and policy statements issued by relevant regulatory authorities and wider international bodies, liaising as necessary with the Senior Compliance Officer – Conduct Risk and Regulatory Affairs Manager on how any such developments may impact TMHCC International.
Skills and Experience Specification:
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Conduct Risk, particularly in the UK.
  • Ability to manage own workload, prioritising tasks appropriately and ensuring that agreed delivery dates are achieved.
  • Experience within the London insurance market
  • Demonstrate a high level of problem solving and the ability to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate a risk-based methodology in work methods and reporting.
  • Adept at Stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Good written communication skills to allow the job holder to write and respond to emails and other written correspondence in a professional manner both internally and externally.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office.
