Job Description

As a Goods in Engineer at Honeywell, in Christchurch, you will be responsible for the inspection and verification of incoming aerospace components, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. The role is 100% on site.

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Goods-In Inspector to join our Aerospace Repair & Overhaul (R&O) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection and verification of incoming aerospace components, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspection of incoming goods, including aerospace components, repair parts, and materials supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the inspection and logistics processes.
  • Verify documentation such as Certificates of Conformance (CofC), Airworthiness Certificates, EASA Form 1, FAA 8130-3, and packing lists.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, quarantine suspect items, and initiate NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) as needed.
  • Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and visual inspection techniques to assess part condition.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, EASA Part 145, and other applicable aerospace standards.

Qualifications

Key skills and qualifications

  • Strong understanding of aerospace documentation and regulatory requirements (EASA, FAA, AS9100).
  • Familiarity with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and IT literate – experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Formal training in aerospace quality inspection or equivalent and Forklift license or experience handling aerospace components safely would be desirable
